Top-100 Photos

Photo 1

(I looked for another photo's that Bradley Cooper has taken and I didn't find anything)

1. I picked this image due to the amount of people in this photo. There are many famous actors and actresses that all look like they're having an amazing time at the oscars.
2. Ellen DeGeneres was hosting the 2014 Oscars and in the middle of the show she goes down into the crowd to take a selfie. Ellen used a Samsung phone was used to promote Samsung in this stunt, which was constructed by Samsung themselves.
3. I learned that Bradley Cooper "messed" up Ellen's plan for the photo. He saw her having trouble taking a selfie with Merly Streep and wanted to be a gentlemen and take the photo for her. That act messed up her plan until she had him get in the photo where she also invited many other celebrities to be in the photo as well.

Photo 2

(So sorry but I did not find another photo taken by Sam Nzima either)
1. I picked this photo because of the story it's telling. The boy is carrying another boy who is obviously hurt very badly and it looks like their looking for help. By just seeing this photo I want to know what happened before and after this was taken.
2. These kids were at school learning Afrikaans-language because it was mandatory by the government. With this many protest began and in doing so they got violent and this poor kid was killed. This photo then lead to the rest of the world to see that the South African government killed one of it's own people.
3. It was against the law to take pictures of what the police have done so him taking this photo was risking his life. The people of South Africa thought that it was best for them to learn English because they believed that was the universal language of the world so when the government said otherwise they got upset and began planning the protest. It began peacefully until the police were offended of them singing a song that was banned from South Africa. This then lead to shots being fired and a 13 year old boy named Hector Pietersen was killed.

1. I picked this photo because of the chaos you can see from the picture. Something is obviously not right in the period of time and it looks very heartbreaking.
2. The shooting lasted 13 seconds with 4 dead and 9 wounded. Mary Ann Vecchio is found kneeling over a very seriously injured Jeffery Miller. With the shooting it lead to this generations loss of their youthfulness. The shooting left the people in the protest scared for life since there was no reason for the shooting to even happen.
3. The shooting was put onto innocent unarmed college students. The shooting was performed by the Ohio National Guard on a crowd that was together to protest the Vietnam War.

1. I picked this photo because I saw what seemed like a feeling of accomplishment in the men that are raising their hands. It's almost like they were the underdogs and not only did they prove to themselves that they could accomplish whatever they accomplished, they also proved it to anyone that doubted them.
2. The two USA winners, gold and bronze, were black and before the began to play the national anthem both of them raised their hands. This made the whole world realize that blacks are just as equal as anyone else.
3. There are many more elements to raise this awareness then just the raising of the hand. There is wearing no shoes, a badge, a scarf, bead necklace, and an open jacket. There is always a method to the crazy that everyone thought this was.

I picked this photo because I feel like I could relate to it. He just won probably the biggest fight of his life and I have done that mentally with myself. Thousands of people were at this event and he just won probably the biggest fight of the year.
2. This is one of the biggest fights of the year and not even 2 minutes into the first round 23 year old Muhammad Ali knocks 34 year old Sonny Liston to the ground. The photo was taken to emphasize Ali yelling at Liston to get back up and fight. This fight took place back in the 60's.
3. The fight took place during the Civil Rights Act. Muhammad Ali announced that he had joined the Black Muslim Sect which just made people not like him even more. Most of the American Press refused to call him his new name after he changed it.
