Final Extra Credit
1. The man was pushed in to the train tracks in an attempt to calm down another man who had been harassing people. In the attempt to calm him down the man pushed him into the train tracks. The photographer was able to take the photo because he was trying to get the train drivers attention.
2. The photographer took this photo in attempt to grab the train drivers attention to stop the train.
3. I think the photographer should of taken the photo because it grabs the attention of the eye and it is a very controversial photo.
4. I don't think the photographer did the most he could do because if he really tried to get him up himself people would have come over to help him pull out the man. If people would of come over to help pull out the man he could still be alive. Instead he came up with an excuse to pull out his camera so he could get a photo of what was happening.
5. I don't agree with the decision of putting this photo on the front page because this man is apart of a family and they are now grieving because someone got mad. Let the family cope with what has happened and put it on another page.
6. Capturing images of what is happening because then there is a chance that their photo could make the front page. Photojournalists typically worry about themselves when it comes to this kind of stuff so that maybe they can get more recognition.
7. I think ethically a photographer should help anyone in danger way before they ever take out a camera. A human life in 100x more important than a silly photo that people are going to forget about in a couple of days after it is published.
8. A photo journalist should just take pictures of what is happening in the situation. People should have the right the think what they want to think about the situation. It is not a photojournalists job to influence the minds of people, their job is to capture what is going on in that specific moment in time.
9. The most appropriate response to this photographer is that he is in the wrong. He put his want for attention with photography over a mans life, now this man has to pay the price. If the photographer would of just put the camera down and actually tried to help this man he would most likely still be alive today.
