Portfolio Analysis

Part 1 Video 1: A) The photographer is Travis Haughton. B) The focus of this portfolio is to show athletes playing their sports and having a few random people going through everyday life.  C) Back of the head dominating the photo, one of the photos needed a caption to help explain the photo, missing the point of the photo.  D) Photos don't looked staged and there is depth to their photo.  E) I think the photographer is a better sports photographer than an everyday photographer. Some of his everyday photos were so random in the fact that he completely missed to point of the photo, but besides that I think he has the right idea of what he wants to take he just needs to do a better job of executing the photos.  1)  Video 2:  A) The photographer is Josh Birnbaum. B) I think the main focus of this portfolio was to get as many good photos of what ever he could but towards the end it took a turn by just focusing on the story of one guy.  C) Missed an opportunity

Pick the main focal point of the photo and then add other elements one by one. 9. It is very hard to get a photo when it is a heavy cloudy sky day. Sometimes the photo looks 10 times better if it's in black and white because the weather or lighting may have been bad. 10. It takes less time to research the area because you have already been there. It will take way more time to scout out a new location when y

1. One problem that I can see with taking these kinds of photos is that who is the person taking them. 2. In think either the courtyard or the track would be a good option. 3. I would probably do a dance move or different active movements. 4. I think wearing athletic clothes would be the best to wear because they are easy to move in.

1. The manipulations to the camera that you will need to make are changing the shutter speed. 2.  You will need a tripod. 3.  Someone might take a HDR photo because this kind of photo is very clear and had depth. 4.  When blending photos the lighting will balance each other out and you can see where the exposure is in the actual photo.
